An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Associate level Electrical Engineer to join a growing and highly respected Building Services team in Leeds. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of high-profile projects across healthcare, education, defence, commercial office, and residential sectors.

You will play a key role in delivering innovative electrical design solutions from concept through to completion while supporting junior engineers and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

The Role

As a Senior / Associate Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading electrical building services designs across multiple projects
  • Producing reports, specifications, calculations, and technical designs
  • Delivering projects through all RIBA stages
  • Carrying out electrical calculations using industry-standard software
  • Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other consultants
  • Attending client and design team meetings
  • Undertaking site inspections and technical reviews
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
  • Advising clients on sustainability and energy-efficient solutions
  • Ensuring compliance with current regulations and industry standards

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
  • Experience within a building services consultancy environment
  • Strong technical design experience across electrical building services
  • Knowledge of current regulations and British Standards
  • Experience using software such as Amtech, Dialux, or Relux
  • Revit/BIM experience desirable
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
  • Chartered status or working towards Chartership desirable
