Our Hove based engineering client is looking for an experienced Switchgear Technician/Panel Wirer to work alongside Technicians, Testers and Engineers to ensure high and accurate standard of build and installation.
Key responsibilities and main tasks and activities:
- Interpretation of schematic and general arrangement drawings.
- Layout of panels
- Panel assembly including, preparation of metalwork prior to assembly, cabling and small wiring.
- Copper busbar fitting.
- Panel installation on site.
- Liaising with engineers
Skills and abilities:
Essential
- Electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Ability to interpret schematic and general arrangement drawings
Teamwork and personal impact
- Consult with the team and other experts as and when required.
- Able to operate within a team, and individually.
- Task focused.
- Strong desire to achieve.
- High attention to detail.
Working Days and Hours
Mon to Thur, 07:45 to 16:30 and Fri 07:45 to 12:15
Start and Duration
Immediate start until the end of July 2026
